We are currently seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara as part of the LG R&D Lab organization.
We are looking for a Senior Staff System Engineer who can help us take our IoT and AI based product ideas to quick prototypes, as we work to realize our vision of enhanced connected home experience and advanced personalized experience for LG Electronics. We’re a growing team at the forefront of connected devices, computer vision, and AI applications within LG. We need you to help us develop the foundation for LG’s next generation of connected, personalized, AI based products.
In this role, you will own and drive system architecture and prototyping of personal connected devices which utilize various sensors including biometric sensors to collect foundational data and understand context by analyzing the data using AI models and provide life improving experiences by integrating services.
Create, manage and trace well-defined, justified, and verifiable product and sensor requirements by working with product managers
Drive system architecture and prototyping of personal connected devices which utilizes various sensors including biometric sensors
Develop and define use cases that bound key sensor capabilities
Design and support experiments to inform capability trades
Develop verification and validation plans, and manage the execution of those plans
Implement rapid prototypes and demonstrate feasibility
Maintain a strong relationship with our hardware engineers, software engineers, and external vendors
Education and Experience:
Extensive experience in IoT or Wearable device system engineering
Experience of various sensors and sensor fusion
8+ years of experience in a fast-paced technology-driven organization
8+ years of hands-on experience with systems in design, integration, and testing
8+ years of industry experience developing complex system requirements evaluation and characterization
Expertise in hardware and embedded software
Experience with service integration
Bachelor's Degree +12 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience
Experience with audio DSP is a big plus
Sensor modeling and simulation experience is a plus
Experience or Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning
