We are currently seeking a Technical Product Manager, Robotics to join our dynamic team in Lincolnshire as part of the LG R&D Lab organization.

Job Description:

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be part of the team to lead LG Electronics USA's initiative to launch robotic products into B2B verticals including hospitality, healthcare, retail, and many more.

This role requires deep technical understanding of robotics which can include navigation, AI, and mapping as well as business aspects of dealing with B2B customers. You will be tasked to lead technical discussions with potential customers in order to create product requirement documents for the R&D team based in Korea.

You will be based in Chicago (Suburbs) and work alongside multi-disciplinary team that includes HW and SW development as well as Sales & Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

The Technical Product Manager will participate in the creation of exciting new robotics products and business opportunities for the B2B industry including hospitality, retail, etc.

  • Assist team leader in development of the customer-focused product strategy for Robotic products in B2B industry

  • Transform Voice-of-Customer / Needs into clear product requirement specification

  • Assist in creating mid-long term product / business strategy and vision for the robotic products

  • Identify, establish and manage technology and business partnerships critical to the success of new robotics products

  • Collaborate with Sales Team in identifying, defining and quantifying new business opportunities

  • Collaborate with Engineering team (Local & International) to document product roadmap, detailed requirements, and functional specifications documents

Required Experience:

  • 35 years of prior experience in product management and/or product engineering

  • Experience in Robotics (MUST) or AI, Autonomous Driving, ML, Automation

  • Familiarity with B2B business practices a plus

  • Established network of industry relationships preferred

  • Good communication skills are a must as this role requires extensive communication with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Korean language skills are a plus

Required Education:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical discipline
