We are currently seeking a Marketing Communications Manager, Solar to join our dynamic team in Lincolnshire, IL as part of the Solar Team!

LG Electronics is recruiting a Marketing Communications Manager for the Solar markets (B2B and B2C), to be located in Lincolnshire, IL.

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the overall management of campaigns across the multiple channel and customer landscapes, all product marketing deliverables and clearly communicates the value of LG Electronics B2B products and solutions to these audiences. Critical to this position is an understanding of what influences and motivates decision makers (C-level, Departmental Heads, Home Owners, etc.) in choosing a provider of solar goods and services. This position is expected to demonstrate leadership, effectively manage communications agencies, and to lead, plan, develop and implement communications campaigns leveraging internal and external resources, including management of advertising (media planning and creative), content marketing, product marketing, field marketing and channel events and content development. This position will work in conjunction with other teams in B2B marketing, as well as product marketing, channel and sales, to deliver effective integrated marketing communications campaigns.. Of paramount importance is the constant drive to utilize all marketing communication resources to help meet our sales targets.

The Marketing Communications Manager will need to have the ability to set strategic goals that supports the overall Marketing objectives. This person must have a thirst for knowledge and be able to establish and establish mindshare with both channel partners and end-users with the goal of understanding their pain-points and helping to craft a compelling message that differentiates LG in the marketplace. This hands-on leader must be able to learn quickly, challenge the status quo, and drive the organization in new directions (a passionate change agent). The Marketing Communications Manager is a team player who displays a positive (“Creates a Spark”), professional attitude at all times and assumes accountability and responsibility for all initiatives he/she leads

  • Implement strategic initiatives and strengthen collaboration with channel marketing and sales to ensure deliverables meet goals, objectives and expectations.

  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive advertising and public relations initiatives that will increase the organization’s image and brand position within the marketplace.

  • Selects appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive segment-specific behavior; collaborates across channels

  • Acts as thought leader in shaping and positioning go-to-market strategies – inclusive of media, promotions, sales enablement, product marketing collateral

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams – from creative, content and web and production to marketing and legal – driving and creating effective communications strategies

  • Create communications reporting/analytics dashboards and/or presentations for key stakeholders

  • Manage internal teams to obtain necessary consent and providing final approval on all communications materials and plans

  • Oversee and directly manage external agency resources for creative, advertising and media placement including on-going planning, quality assurance, execution and reporting

  • Ability to drive an overall project management process and to effectively manage deadlines and budgets

  • Should have experience in creative development (Agency and internal staff) and be able to apply that knowledge to enhance the customer experience

  • Ability to manage and handle both day to day tactical programs and also develop longer term strategies for the solar business

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is required

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in product management/marketing role is required

  • Previous experience working within a marketing orginization is a must

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required

  • Very detail oriented with a very strong analytical skills

  • Solid negotiation, leadership, and professional presentation skills

  • Open to learn new systems and a desire to improve processes

  • Ability to travel when required

  • Korean language skills a plus
